We have now heard back from our Residence Inn hotel contact. The Fro Patro block of rooms has not sold out. She gave us a new 1-800 number that should take you directly to the Residence Inn Brentwood (rather than Mariott worldwide). Please see the Hotel Information link for more specifics on making sure you get the Fro Patro rate. If you have a problem, let us know by emailing fropatro@gmail.com .
Update #6: Tuesday, February 26th
You may now make your hotel reservations ONLINE at the Residence Inn (and get a low rate on our Fro Patro Picnic block of rooms) using their special Fro Patro Picnic reservation website.

The catering for our picnic has now been confirmed! We'll be having pork BBQ and all the fixin's, courtesy of a great local barbeque restaurant. We want to encourage guests of the picnic to bring their favorite local BBQ sauce with them (especially if you're driving, not flying) so that we can try out some great BBQ from all over the country!
Update #4: Monday, January 28th
With the official announcement of the picnic, plans have definitely kicked into high gear! Hotel Information is now available (see link to the right), including information on the Fro Patro Hub, the Residence Inn, Brentwood, where there will be a Hospitality Room available for Fro Patro-ers. Please read the information on the hotels carefully, as we are still in the process of reserving a block of rooms for the Fro Patro.
As you begin your planning, we'd like to share that the TENTATIVE cost for the events may be $15 for the picnic and $15 for the concert. Many factors may cause this to change, and a final decision will be made by Chris and his manager. Once costs are confirmed we will have a registration page where you will have the option of paying for the picnic via Paypal.
Cathy (Seestorms) is beginning to organize the Fro Patro Fan Awards which will be handed out during the picnic. Please see the link to the right to help brainstorm possible award categories!

It certainly has been awhile since we’ve updated! But we’ve wanted to make sure some of the details were confirmed before posting again. Risa and Carmen have been busy the past few months scouting out picnic locations, caterers and hotels around Nashville and Brentwood. And now we’re happy to say that we have a definite date and location from Chris and his manager!
When: Saturday, July 5th, 2008
Where: Centennial Park, Nashville, TN
What: An afternoon picnic in Centennial Park, followed by a concert in a nearby venue (TBD by Chris and his manager).
Update #2: Thursday, September 6th
Some more clarification from Chris on his "Ramblings 8-30-2007" Blog...
"If we can work this out, it will be something ... (like a picnic) and then a paid concert, is probably how we'll work it. We'll do a small (maybe coupla hundred) for the picnic RSVP, then the concert will be that night or the next night. It will definitely be affordable.
The cruise will come in 5 years, providing I'm a huge artist that merits a cruise. Lol.
Don't worry, Carrie, we're gonna make this accessible to as many of the Fro Patro as possible.
Peace,
Chris "
So far it looks like we'll definitely be having a picnic sort of get together. This may be catered or just grilling out, depending on the venue. Either way, it'll be the cheapest option possible.
For dates, we will be staying away from holidays that could prevent people from coming. We will also avoid the Nashville Fan Fare weekend (June 5-8), which would interfere with hotels and venues. It will most likely be one of the last three weekends in June, depending on Chris' tour schedule.
Please see the side bar for a link to our Sponsorship Plan. This will help everyone be able to attend the party. If you're interested in Sponsoring a fellow Fro Patro-er, please check it out!
Update #1: Saturday, September 1st
Here's the latest blog comment from Chris...
"All right. Let's talk through legistics of how this would work.
Who's in school or teaches?
If so, when do you get out of school?
Do we want to do it over a holiday weekend (like Memorial Day weekend?)
Do we want a picnic? Or do we want something inside for weather purposes?
I was thinking what we could do is have a picnic for the Fro Patro' (or meal, depending on weather). We would advertise it to all fans through all the websites and stuff and hopefully have a few people come out. Then we would have a big show somewhere in Nashville. Could be cool.
Chris "
Please give feedback as a comment on his Blog. Or you can email this site at FroPatro@gmail.com with any suggestions.
I have now set up a special Fro Patro email especially for access to this site. This will allow more of us to access this website and provide information. Unfortunately that means that the website name has changed, but it's for the greater good! :) If you would like to give any feedback, or if you would like to be a contributor to this site, please Email Lori.
